Senior Data Factory Engineer

We are a Data warehouse and BI focused team, building out an automated data delivery systems in the cloud. Our responsibilities include data acquisition; dissemination; implementing workflow pipelines using Talend like technologies, implementing ETLs, publishing reports and dashboards using Qlikview and other home grown frameworks.

The Senior Data Factory Engineer will be a key member of a team building a data processing platform using Talend Data Fabric to implement and support a data factory that standardizes the data ingestion, cleaning, and integration processes for Fitch Rating. We would like this person to be proactive, forward-thinking and passionate about designing and implementing innovative ways to achieve the above goal. Candidate will partner with members of the Data Operations team to provide world-class data processing solutions that improve the efficiency and quality of data processing functions.

Key responsibilities:

Implement and support a data factory that standardizes the data ingestion, cleaning, data quality controls and integration processes for Fitch Rating using Talend Data Fabric.
Interact with the business, Data Operations team, and SME’s to understand business requirements and implement the required processes.
Work within and across agile teams to develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions for data acquisition and dissemination.

5+ years of Experience and Required Skills

5+ years of experience using ETL tools
Modeling, designing and programming experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Interacting with the users to gather / understand business requirements.
Experience with Talend product suite required.
Python, EXCEL and VBA skills highly preferred.
Experience in processing data formats like JSON, XML, HTML, etc. highly preferred.
Experience with Amazon Aurora and related databases a plus.
Implementing REST APIs a plus.


Bonus Skills & Experience

AWS technologies.
BI and reporting tools like QlikView and QlikSense.
